Do you suffer with hand or elbow pain? Do you know you are not alone? There are literally thousands of people in the same boat.

I started typing on an old manual typewriter in high school many years ago. I was in typing class and I remember completing the exercises of the key placement and stretches. The numbers and symbols were harder because you had to reach.

When years later I was working in a doctor’s office my wrist started to ache. I made my first orthopedic doctor’s visit regarding hand pain. I was then given a cortisone injection and the problem resolved itself for years.

Now keying on a computer day in and day out for years my hand pain had returned with a vengeance.

After several hand surgeries on both hands I consider my hands “delicate”.

Many years ago my sister in law a hand therapist told me to fold a towel and place it under my keyboard.

I tried that but I found that it did not give me the cushioning I needed when touching the keyboard. I finally found a pad that worked. I cut it from a larger pad that was used for something completely different.

It worked!

I noticed the difference in my hand pain immediately. I could key on a computer for hours longer and the pain was never as severe as it was in the past.

I use an ergonomic keyboard at home and it makes a huge difference when typing for hours.

The only other option that doctor’s love to tell you is to wear a hand splint. If you have ever worn a hand splint you know that I was not a happy camper.

Now I do not wear hand splints and my hand pain is severely reduced.

I know there are thousands of men, women, and children who are suffering from hand and elbow pain from continuous keying on their computer keyboards.

My suggestion is to try a pad under your keyboard. What can it hurt?

Remember keying on a keyboard is like hitting a brick wall with your hands.

Do you ever lose your car in a parking lot be it immense or just large? Do you ever think how easy it would be if only the parking lots rows were numbered or lettered?

I have this terrible problem of walking out of my car at the shopping center and forgetting where I parked it. There are so many doors and building you can enter without giving it a thought.

It is amazing the number of people I meet wandering around in a daze trying to find their cars just like me.

So I am not the only one. Nearly everybody I talk to has at one time or another misplaced their car.

I do not mind on a beautiful day it just makes it an adventure and a nice walk. I am talking about the time I am pressed for time, when it is raining, when it is freezing cold or it is so hot the black top seems to sear my legs.

Then not being able to come into contact with my car without walking the complete parking lot becomes a real problem.

So I say to you wonderful people that maintain parking lots. How about numbering or lettering the parking lot rows. It would make my life and yours a heck of a lot easier.

Do you have your precious family pictures stored in a garage or shed? Do you have your family treasures stored in a cellar or attic?

Recently I cleaned out my storage sheds that had been full of junk for eleven years. Does this sound familiar? Where does all this junk come from and how does it it accumulates so fast.

What was so horrifying about all this junk that had been stacked and shoved into this small shed for so many years, was the condition of the card board boxes.

The boxes were practically non-existent. The shed leaked and water damage to the boxes and to the items in the boxes was disastrous.

Precious family pictures were so water damaged they had to be tossed into the trash along with many books.

The very worst of this big mess was the fact that mice and rats had gotten into the shed. They had chewed parts of the card board boxes and left droppings inside the boxes and all over the floor of the shed. In order to remove all the junk left in the boxes I had to wear rubber gloves.

Mice and rat droppings can cause you to get really sick if you don’t wash your hands frequently. Not only your hands it gets on your clothes and is tracked into the house no matter how careful you are.

If I only knew eleven years ago what I know now. Don’t put anything into a shed, garage, cellar or attic without a plastic container. Today plastic containers come in various sizes and colors. They have lids that fit nice and tight and you can write on them describing what is inside.

I am not selling plastic containers but I highly recommend to each and every one of you who are now storing your precious pictures and family treasures in card board boxes repack them in plastic.

Does your toddler talk? Does your toddler scream to communicate?

When I looked down at my beautiful baby infant my heart soared. There is nothing in this world that can match the feelings of seeing your very own new born baby.

My baby girl was a wonderful infant. She really did not give me any unordinary problems.

When my baby was around two years old she suddenly changed.

What had happened to my wonderful sweet baby girl?

Yes I know there are the terrible two’s. I had another child, older and I remember when he went through the terrible two’s. Plus I remember when my sister’s children went through there terrible two’s but this was different.

My little toddle did not talk she screamed to communicate with me and anybody that was in her small life circle.

I know that many two year old children do not talk. They might start talking when they are 2 ½ or 3 years old but this was entirely different.

My family and friends suggested that I take my beautiful daughter to a doctor. I did and I am forever grateful to my family and friends for making the suggestion to me.

When it comes to children and parents some people would never think of becoming involved. As an outsider, they have a clearer window since they are not involved in the day to day care of the child.

The doctor immediately upon my description of how my child was acting and screaming to communicate plugged me into a Speech Therapy class.

The doctor also recommended a Child Psychologist.

For the next three years my life revolved around my daughter’s schedule of attending speech therapy three times a week.

Immediately following speech therapy we went directly to the Child Psychologist’s office.

The speech therapy and the Psychologist’s therapy combined achieved a wonderful miracle.

My daughter started to slowly start speaking using one or two words sentences. Gradually her vocabulary continued to build.

After she was in kindergarten and all throughout elementary school, she continued her speech therapy. Her visits to the Child Psychologist were now only twice a month.

As a mother and having lived through this trauma and believe me it was a trauma. I am happy to say my daughter, a young lady today, is working, owns her own car and is financially independent. I am very proud of her and could not imagine her not being in my life.

I say a strong thank you to the wonderful Speech Therapists that worked with her throughout the years.

I also say a strong thank you to the wonderful Child Psychologist who worked with my daughter throughout her younger years.

I do not know what would have happened to her if she would not have had this special care in her early years.

I strongly recommend to parents, if you have a child that you feel needs help in anyway get the child evaluated by a doctor immediately. It’s never too early to act.

(3) You move out of the park but still have to pay rent until your Mobile Home is sold.

(4) You abandon your home and lose everything you hold precious to you and your family.
