Linda E. Meckler

Linda has worked in numerous small medical offices, large insurance billing offices and hospital billing offices for approximately fifteen years.

She has written this book to educate consumers about the workings of a medial office and how they network with the medical insurance companies in achieving payment for your claims.

Also, how to kick it up a notch when the patient needs to intervene and fight their own insurance company for what they feel they are entitled to under their contract.

Medical Billing is very complicated and continues to become more so with each passing year. This is the way the medical insurance companies hold on to their money like glue.

When you finish reading this book you will be able to understand if your medical insurance claim was paid correctly or if you need to be kicked up to the next step and appeal.

Computers Cause Pain -Table of Contents

Biography - Linda E. Meckler

I have been suffering with hand, elbow, arm, shoulder and neck pain for almost 20 years. I have had several hand and shoulder surgeries. I will share with you what I have experienced throughout my life, typing.

I learned how to type in high school on an old manual typewriter. When you type on a manual typewriter you really have to hit the keys hard. I was in typing class and I remember completing the exercises of the key placement and stretches. The numbers and symbols were harder to reach since you had to stretch your fingers farther.

I jumped from a manual typewriter to an electric typewriter. The typewriter I enjoyed the best was the IBM Selectric 2. They are still around and work fantastic. The new electronic typewriters on the market, today, do not work as well.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen I have worked on office equipment that is probably in museums now. I assure you I am not ready to be put out to pasture. There is still life left in me and enough of my imagination left in my mind to keep writing.

                                                                 Biography - Linda E. Meckler

I was married for over twenty five years; I am a mother and now a grandmother. I have been reflecting over my past and I have found several reasons why self-esteem is so important to me. I remember being sent out into the cruel world to attend school and having to learn to stand on my own two feet.

Even though I felt love from my parents in my home, I never felt they gave me the extra push every child needs to achieve their full potential.

I have battled boosting my self -esteem my entire life and I will share with you how I finally accomplished boosting my self-esteem and believing in myself.
For people who are now raising their children as a single parent your self-esteem will take root when you are in control of your life.

Today children are in so many special after school activities all they hear is achieve, achieve and achieve. Setting goals too high for our children is certainly a great way to crush their self-esteem.

We must have a balance; if the child does not live up to their parent’s great expectations of whatever their achievement should be, their self-esteem could be crushed before it ever develops.

The child needs to take on this achievement because he/she wants to or loves to do this special project. The child should not have to feel he has to be the absolute best in order to fulfill his parent’s idea of a perfect child.
Many times children develop and take a special interest in a subject that their parents are unfamiliar with and do not understand. The child can be bullied by their parents to stop this nonsense and find something else that they approve of.

As I lived my life and different doors opened for me, I had to make choices. I know if my self-esteem had blossomed in childhood I would have made wiser, choices. I would have believed in myself more and would have drawn on my past to help me achieve my future.

Toastmasters CTM

Last night at my weekly Toastmasters Meeting I gave my 10th speech.

That made me a CTM.

My self-esteem boosted and soared.

The first 2 times I gave a speech in front of a room full of people I was shaking in my shoes.

My knees knocked together.

But with each speech my confidence grew.

It felt great actually finishing this.

Now I will be starting on my next 10 speeches.

I can’t wait.

I feel very proud of myself.

Find something you like to do and stick with it and you can be proud of yourself.
