½  Cup butter
 

½  cup sugar
 

½  Cup brown sugar
 

3 cups flour
 

2 eggs
 

1 ½  tsp water
 

½  tsp soda
 

½  tsp salt
 

½ tsp nutmeg
 

½ tsp vanilla
 

Add white and brown sugar slowly cream well.
 

Beat eggs, add water, and vanilla.
 

Mix and sift dry ingredients alternate with wet ingredients.
 

Chill ½ hour before rolling out dough.
 

Bake at 350 degrees approximately 12 minutes.
