When a store has an electric cart it is a large plus for the store.

It means many people who can walk short distances can use the carts while they are shopping in the store.

The placement of the cart is another. If you have to walk a distance for the cart and then walk another distance to find someone with a key or to find a cart that is all electrically charge up and ready to go - HELP. The carts are there for your customers convenience. They would not be using the carts if they did not need them.

Use common sense in the placement of the electric carts in the store as well as keeping them in good running condition.

Also, you found out you had GERD a reflux between stomach and thraot. Now you are on another medication and a restricted diet. This is a TRUE story and it was caused by taking the montly osteoporosis medication we all hear about on the television commercials all day long.

Do not take any osteoporosis medication no matter what the name of it is. The side effects are numerous.

Linda Meckler’s “Ghost Kids Trilogy” is a delightful, imaginative family story. The story is smartly plotted. Linda’s choice of vocabulary and short crisp sentences create a sense of suspense and mystery.

The author’s colorful descriptions are enhanced by Patty Finnell’s clever illustrations.

The warm love and concern for Christy and Brad by their extended family adds another dimension to the value of this well written story. It is a book you can read and enjoy together in your family times.

I highly recommend this book for the young reader, ages eight through fifteen. I found myself caught up in the story. It was a captivating reading experience.

Do you know you need to clean underneath your refrigerator at least once a year.

If you have pets make it every six months.

The pet hair gets underneath the fridg and wraps itself around the condensor which is the motor.

This causes your fridge to work harder and brings your electric bill up - up and up.

It is also a fire waiting to happen.

I recently went into my neighborhood grocery store, Vons, and asked the manager why the electric carts were in the second room instead of in the entrace way. His response was there is not an electrical outlet in that area and the carts need to be charged. I said to him very nicely.

“Then get an electrical outlet into the entrance of the store. ” I also pointed out that once I managed to walk to the carts I then had to walk to customer service to receive a key to drive the cart. Also I added, “Do you have any idea how far I have to walk from my car into your store to get into a cart?

He said he would see what he could do.

About a month later I walked into Vons and the electric carts had been moved to the entrance of the store.

and when I said how thrilled I was with the new arrangement of the electric carts I received my own key to the carts.

Sometimes a simple request is heard.

Go Vons.

It can become a real mystery when you rip out and throw out old carpeting.

What is under the old carpeting can be many things.

You could have a perfectly good wood floor. ( Merry Christmas)

You could have plywood.

You could have old chipped, cracked tile.

You could even have asbestos.
