Swamp Cooler vs Window Air Conditioner
I have used an old, old swamp cooler which was on the top of my house for about 5 years. Last year during one of the worst hot spells it spung leaks cause it was rusted through and through. I like my swamp cooler. I could leave it running 24/7. It is a hidden secret since the Electric Company can not gauge you on your monthly bill. Actually, it is the cheapest way to cool your house. It will not get cold like an air condition but it will keep it cool.
Today I had to make the decison to purchase and install a new swamp cooler or put in a new window air conditioner. The air conditioner I rarly ran cause of the bill electric bill. But the swamp cooler I never gave a thought to the cost of running it.
So when I said I want a new swamp cooler instead of a window air conditioner everybody was surprised except me. I do not really like the COLD. For this reason and for economical reasons my new swamp cooler is being installed within the week.
