Swamp Cooler in my Window
I had a swamp cooler which was positioned on top of my mobile home for 30 years.
I used it for 5 years to cool my home.
Last year it rusted out and leaked through my hallway causing extensive water damage.
All I had for cooling was my fans.
This year after asking my mobile home neighbors what to do about this horrible heat; they suggested I get another swamp cooler. I did. I had one installed in my wall in the living room.
It puts out a nice breeze but it only cools the living room. Before with my old one it blew the air down the hall way and kept the heat down in my whole home.
Now I am seriously considering having air conditioning installed. It is hot and the older you get the less your body can handle the heat.
I like my swamp cooler for the living room; especially combined with my fan. The cool air really blows around. But yI still need to use the other rooms in my home.
Financially, running the swamp cooler simply makes more sense. It really saves the money on the electric bill.
Let me hear from you. What do you think?
